GOBELINS Paris and the ONY association have signed a partnership agreement with the ambition of training Malagasy talents in 3D animation.
Animhouse is pleased to partner with GOBELINS Paris for the organization of three intensive one-week training sessions on 3D character animation techniques (fundamentals, body mechanics, and acting). These three sessions will be held in April, May, and June 2024 by Samy Fecih, animator and trainer, who also works on GOBELINS Paris's Summer School program.
The long-term objective is to build a structuring partnership to support young Malagasy people wishing to train in 3D animation professions, foster the sharing of know-how, and promote the influence of projects created by Animhouse students. These training courses are intended to be open to students from other Indian Ocean countries.
By partnering with ONY, GOBELINS Paris continues its commitment to structuring ICC ecosystems in emerging and promising markets. As an actor committed to promoting diversity, particularly in the animation industry, GOBELINS Paris is proud to contribute to the ANIMHOUSE program.
“Through our partnership with ONY, we are continuing our commitment to skills development, a mission that is close to our hearts at GOBELINS Paris. Together, we are determined to offer Malagasy talents excellent training in 3D animation, thus contributing to the flourishing of the international creative industry ” explains Cécile Blondel, Director of the international department at GOBELINS Paris.

+ info on Animhouse
To lay the foundations for a school dedicated to 3D animation professions in Madagascar, ONY launched in 2024 the Animhouse academy, a 12-month free training program designed to train 3D animation technicians through learning focused on technique, creative development, and 3D character animation.

The pedagogy, based on sharing experiences, learning trades, but especially on practice, will allow students to learn to create 3D characters by mastering different techniques (staging, movement, acting). The program includes workshops led by local professionals and the creation of a final project intended to lead to professional opportunities.
The Animhouse Academy is led by Ridha Andriantomanga, founder of Lewak, a 2D and 3D animation studio, and a former participant in GOBELINS Paris's Summer School programs.
