🎮 And that's a wrap for this first video game creation residency at the Cité internationale de la langue française!
After two intense weeks of Game Jam, creation, meetings, and support, 8 talents from Reunion Island, Madagascar, and Mauritius presented their prototypes to a jury, following a long deliberation with very close results.
✨ The project Letters Overseas stood out against Le Chant des Récifs, after rich discussions and a particularly high standard of submissions.
Throughout the residency, participants benefited from both creative and technical support, particularly concerning:
- Video game design and prototyping
- Project pitching
- Funding and business plan
- Artistic direction
This residency is fully in line with ONY's mission to develop cultural and creative industries and to structure the video game ecosystem in Madagascar and the Indian Ocean.
