On Saturday, May 30, our new program, 100% dedicated to women, for training in technical sound and image professions, began at ONY House! For 6 months, 10 trainees will be trained in sound and image professions, which will allow them to perform technical roles on film sets, in the audiovisual sector in general.
We are doubly proud of this new program:
- Firstly, it meets a strong need for CCIs in Madagascar and elsewhere: the inclusion of women, who are still underrepresented in technical professions.
- Secondly, because we are conducting it in partnership with the Comoros Entrepreneurial Institute, which is simultaneously training 10 Comorian women.
In 6 months, 20 future audiovisual professionals will have been trained and supported in continuing or launching their professional careers in this sector.
This program is made possible thanks to funding from the Indian Ocean Commission's CCI program. A big thank you to them for encouraging us to always innovate and build lasting partnerships across the Indian Ocean region.
