When Madagascar, the island of talent, meets the City of Light, magic happens. In October 2023, an ONY delegation traveled to meet the Parisian cultural scene to promote Malagasy creativity and music to professionals from the African and French cultural and creative industries. This Parisian journey was rich in events, highlighting Madagascar's talent and cultural diversity.
The Création Africa Forum, a celebration of African creativity
From October 6 to 8, 2023, the ONY delegation was present at the Création Africa Forum organized at the Gaîté Lyrique and the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers (Cnam).
Supported by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, this platform for meetings, exchanges of expertise, and talent promotion was dedicated to rapidly expanding cultural sectors on the African continent, such as television series, animation, immersive experiences (video games, metaverses, and XR), and comic books. Création Africa brought together artist-creators, producers, broadcasters, and industry leaders, inviting them to share the best of contemporary African creation, discuss production challenges, and explore new perspectives for collaboration and exchange with French and European entrepreneurs.

And ONY in all of this?
These three days were a very enriching experience for the entire ONY team, who had the opportunity to meet professionals from the cinema, video game, and 3D animation ecosystems. These exchanges were an opportunity to present and highlight projects supported by the ONY Booster, build partnerships, share innovative ideas, and promote Malagasy creativity and cultural innovation. Singers Marco Klarck and Kevin Ravel also had the opportunity to showcase traditional Malagasy sounds during a notable musical performance at the forum's closing concert.
